CAMARILLO, Calif., Aug. 26, 2010 — Advanced Motion Controls has released the AZX series of embedded extended environment servo drives that are designed for use in demanding applications.

Available at, the servo drives are specifically made to handle outdoor, mobile and otherwise rugged environment applications. With an extended temperature range, shock/vibration protection and increased robustness, the plug-in modules are powerful, compact and affordable.

The devices can control brushed, brushless or voice coil motors under harsh conditions.

Heat sink temperature shuts down at 115 °C, ambient operating temperature ranges from -40 to 85 °C, and full temperature range cycling occurs in <2 min. Shock is up to 15 g at 11 ms, ½ sine, and vibration is up to 30 g on all three axes.

The drives weigh 95 g and operate at ~97% maximum efficiency. Input power range is from 10 to 80 VDC.
