COURCOURONNES, France, June 1, 2020 — Hermetic Fiber-Optic FeedthroughsA range of standard and custom hermetic fiber optic feedthroughs and patch cords have been announced by SEDI-ATI Fibres Optiques.

Hermetic fiber optic feedthroughs allow for easy delivery of optical signals through a physical barrier, such as the panel of a chamber, the purpose of which is to isolate an environment from another environment and prevent any leakage from one side of the barrier to the other side. Seals are maintained with an internal fiber rod that is identical to the fiber used upstream and downstream, as well as a flange and gasket system, to meet stringent sealing and leak tightness requirements.

Users can achieve hermeticity in various hostile environments.
