NÎMES, France, Feb. 3, 2023 — The SOLANO hexapod from Symétrie is an ultra-compact device of 104 × 120 mm for precision positioning applications in industry or research.

Designed to position up to 5-kg payloads, the hexapod offers speed of 30 mm/s and 20°/s through its direct drive brushless motors. Resolutions of 0.1 µm and 2.5 µrad are guaranteed, as well as a travel range up to ±18 mm in translation and ±21° in rotation. It can work vertically, horizontally, or in any other orientation. Absolute encoders are included for ease of use. Its ergonomic software allows users to virtually configure the pivot point and easily change the coordinate system.
