Coherent HighLight FL series high-power fiber lasers deliver an unmatched combination of operational flexibility and reliability to yield superior results, including welding of both thin and thick metals with up to 80% spatter reduction, and minimal cracking and porosity. They’re also a versatile tool for metal cutting and even additive manufacturing.
HighLight FL series products are available in a wide range of configurations with numerous options, enabling them to be matched to the needs of any processing task and budget. Specifically, these lasers are offered with output powers from 500 W to 10 kW, and can operate in either CW or pulsed mode, at repetition rates of up to 5 kHz. They can be supplied with a variety of delivery fiber options, including our unique Adjustable Ring Mode (ARM) configuration. This allows spot brightness and intensity distribution to be varied on-the-fly, providing optimal results for virtually any material and thickness. Additionally, HighLight FL series lasers are inherently immune to back reflections, enabling safe processing of materials such as brass and copper.
HighLight FL products can be supplied as turnkey systems, or components suitable for OEMs and systems builders. For example, the “compact” version, configured with a spliced fiber and small cabinet, is ideally suited for easy integration into existing systems. Our recently introduced HighLight FL3000C, which offers 3 kW output power from just one fiber laser module, provides the most compact package at this power. The “standard” version offers a separate enclosure for beam management. Up to four fibers can be used, enabling time or energy sharing, for maximum flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Plus, all HighLight FL products are equipped with the Coherent Control Unit (RCU), which offers numerous monitoring and e-service capabilities.
A number of other add-ons are available, including a scanner processing solution package and various process heads.
