LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Feb. 5, 2015 — Power Technology GrandePower Technology Inc. has announced the Grande high-power laser, offering power levels up to 20 W.

Controlled by an internal microprocessor, the design features an LCD, providing users with safety statuses and real-time information on power current settings and internal temperatures. Drive current and bias settings are user-controllable, with 12 bits of resolution. Passive cooling is featured for the circuitry and laser.

Input to the module is 5 VDV, while blue and green lasers require 8 VDC. The laser is intended for use in the analytical, research, 3-D printing and machine vision fields.
