Ideal for Testing EDFA and Raman Amplifiers
BOZEMAN, Mont., Feb. 11 -- ILX Lightwave introduces a new high power 42W Laser Diode Current Source module available for development and production testing of higher power pump lasers used for laser pumping and optical amplification. The LDC-3926339 Current Source can be used with the all new LDC-3926 16-channel High Power Laser Diode Controller and can drive up to 6 Amps @ 7 Volts. This new module features higher power output, constant current or constant power control, external modulation and four-wire forward voltage measurement. In addition, all of ILX’s standard laser diode protection features including adjustable compliance voltage and hardware current limits are included.

The all new LDC-3926 16-Channel High Power Controller also accepts all of the existing laser control modules from the LDC-3916 Laser Diode Controller. The LDC-3926 has an intuitive front panel interface, fast GPIB/IEEE488.2 communications, extensive command set for fast thorough testing, high compliance voltage, and independent isolated channels. This new instrument, with your choice of laser or TE control module, is ideal for development and production testing of high power EDFA and Raman amplifiers, including the leading edge pump lasers used for optical amplification.
