High-Speed CMOS CamerasiX Cameras has announced three new models of its i-SPEED 7 high-speed camera.

The 717, 721, and 727 models feature a custom Advanced Sensor Technology (AST) CMOS 3.2-MP sensor to provide high frame rates and resolution as required by exacting motion analysis applications. The new AST sensor achieves 2072 × 1536 resolution, 12 bits of dynamic range, 2.45 million fps, high light sensitivity with a 13.5-μm pixel pitch, a 27.1-GPixels/s throughput, and a 168-ns shutter time. The cameras come with an electromechanical shutter for automatic black level correction.

The new i-SPEED 7 cameras are designed for particle image velocimetry, digital image correlation, fluid dynamics, ballistics, and a wide range of other scientific testing applications.
