MUNICH, June 15, 2018 — High-Temperature FilamentPEKK Carbon filament from German RepRap GmbH is a high-temperature 3D-printing material ideal for applications in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing industries.

PEKK (polyether ketone ketone) Carbon is heat resistant up to 260 °C with interesting technical and mechanical properties. It is resistant to almost all organic and inorganic chemicals and very resistant to abrasion caused by its high strength. Because it is highly resistant to chemicals, PEKK can be used where the parts are exposed to many types of fuels, lubricants, and acids. Low outgassing allows its use in confined spaces and sensitive environments, which is important for aerospace applications, such as in satellites, where materials under vacuum may not outgas. In addition, PEKK Carbon print objects are particularly suitable for applications in which a high load capacity is required.

In addition to aerospace and the automotive industry, the material is also suitable for applications in the oil and gas sector.
