High-speed NIR PMT Module

The H9170-45 covers the 950 nm ~1400 nm wavelength range and achieves peak sensitivity of 5 mA/W at 1300 nm, while the H9170-75 covers up to 1700 nm, achieving peak sensitivity of 3.5 mA/W at 1500 nm. The modules achieve such high sensitivity because the PMTs utilize a proprietary semi-transparent NIR photocathode technology developed by Hamamatsu. The design also gives the PMTs a fast response rise time of 0.9 ns. Additionally, the PMTs have a large 19-mm area for light detection.

Hamamatsu has designed the H9170-45/H9170-75 with an air-cooled TE cooler, eliminating the need for liquid nitrogen or cooling water. The cooling unit also has a condenser lens that allows a large input area for simple optical coupling. Optional fiber optic or monochromatic adapters are available for use with the H9170-45/H9170-75.

Pricing starts at $20,000 for the H9170-45 and $20,000 H9170-75 in small quantities. Delivery is 8 weeks ARO for sample quantities.
