Higher NIR Camera Line Rate

PRINCETON, N.J., JAN. 18, 2008 -- SUI (Sensors Unlimited Inc.) now offers a higher line rate for its high-resolution SU-LDH digital line scan near-infrared camera. The near-infrared (NIR) indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) camera increases line rates for 1024 pixels to greater than 46,000 lines per second, making it ideal for FD-OCT (Fourier domain optical coherence tomography). For high-data-rate industrial process control and machine vision, the new SU-LDH provides wavelength response from 0.8 to 1.7 µm, the company said.
The SU-LDH camera features high sensitivity, room-temperature-stabilized operation and integrate-while-read capability for faster readout speeds with minimal dead time. The next-generation high speed imager is also used for hot glass and metals processing, agricultural inspection, wood inspection, remote ground sensing, materials classification and sorting, and high-speed spectroscopy, said SUI, part of Goodrich Corp.
Doug Malchow, manager, commercial business development, will be presenting a product demonstration on the SU-LDH at Photonics West on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 11:30 a.m. in Hall 3, Demo Area II. The company has two booths at the SPIE show: 8336 at the BiOs symposia (Jan. 19-20) and 1344 during Photonics West (Jan. 22-24) at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.
The company will also present two papers on the new high-speed camera and linear arrays at BiOS, both on Monday, Jan. 21. "Development of High Speed InGaAs Linear Array and Camera for OCT and Machine Vision" (Paper 6890-16) by SUI's Robert Brubacker, Malchow, Hai Nguyen and Kevin Flynn will be presented from 3 to 3:20 p.m. as part of Conference 6890. ""High Speed (47,000 lines/s), High resolution Fourier domain optical coherence tomography system at 1060 nm" by Peter Forbes, Malchow and Prabakar Puvanathasan and Kostadinka K. Bizheva of the University of Waterloo, Ontario (Paper 6847-25), will be presented from 5 to 5:15 p.m. during Conference 6847.
