Hole and Void InspectorThe EVT Hole and Void Inspector (HVI) from EVT Eye Vision Technology GmbH can detect concealed holes and voids in diverse materials such as wood, caoutchouc, plastic, foamed material, or fiber-reinforced plastic material.

The HVI is based on active thermal imaging, and it is sufficient to capture the plastic immediately after the production with a thermal imaging camera. The embedding of the HVI in a plant is carried out via the available interfaces. Two independent GigE camera interfaces can connect and control up to four cameras. In addition, one interface for a field bus and another for the integration into a SCADA system are integrated. Plants can control the thermal evaluation process and also reject the products depending on the result. The inspection results with the thermal images can also be sent to quality control.

The HVI can be run with a display or as a headless system.
