VAN NUYS, Calif., Sept. 29, 2020 — Hollow-Core Voice CoilThe HVCM-051-025-013-01 hollow-core voice coil from Moticont features an open aperture of .5 in. and the ability for optics, illumination, laser beams, or cables to pass through.

Clean-room-friendly and non-commutated, the motor’s light weight and low inertia demonstrates high speed, high acceleration and deceleration, zero cogging, and zero backlash by connecting directly to the load. A continuous force rating of 5.3 lbs and peak force of 16.9 lbs are provided at a 10% duty cycle.

With a 2 × 1-in. housing length and a 0.5 in. stroke, the device is ideal for applications such as medical diagnostics and testing, laser beam steering, wafer handling, laser cutting and welding, dynamic vibration absorption, optical focusing, scanning, assembly, and positioning applications.
