QUEBEC CITY, Jan. 25, 2010 – Telops Inc. has developed a line of advanced infrared cameras designed for use by research scientists and infrared experts.
The Hyper-Cam FAST-IR is a 1000-fps full-frame camera that enables thermal imaging of dynamic events with high temporal resolution and that is suitable for use in military, R&D, scientific and industrial applications. Real-time calibrated images are visible, even in raw data output mode. Features include a fast filter wheel and software development kit.

It has an InSb detector and operates over the 3- to 5-µm spectral range with 320 × 256-pixel resolution. Noise equivalent delta temperature is 14 mK, detector pitch is 30 µm, integration time is from 3 µs to 1.8 ms, and dynamic range is 16 bits. Operating temperature range is from –15 to 1500 °C. The camera features automatic or manual gain control, high-dynamic-range imaging, three controlled internal neutral filters, a 120-VAC or 24-VDC power supply, windowing, a Camera Link digital interface and a standard bayonet interface lens mount.
Focal ratio is f/2.5, and optional focal lengths available are 7, 13, 25, 50 and 100 mm.
The Hyper-Cam HD-IR is a 1280 × 1024-pixel infrared camera for use in military, R&D, scientific, medical, and nondestructive testing and evaluation applications. It too features a raw data output mode, software development kit and a fast filter wheel. It has an InSb detector and operates over the 3.6- to 4.9-µm spectral range. Noise equivalent delta temperature is 30 mK, detector pitch is 15 µm, maximum full-frame rate is 75 Hz, integration time is from 0.5 µs to 90 ms, and the target temperature range is from –15 to 1500 °C.
It features windowing, a 15-bit dynamic range, two controlled internal neutral filters, automatic or manual gain control, a standard bayonet interface lens mount, a 120-VAC or 24-VDC power supply, high-dynamic-range imaging and a digital output Camera Link interface. Focal length is f/3.0, with 100 mm available as an option.
