Headwall Photonics has introduced the Hyperspec Snapshot portable imaging sensor for environmental research, civil engineering and remote-sensing applications.

The integrated sensor, which covers the visible and NIR spectral range, uses diffractive optics to generate high-resolution spectral and spatial data cubes of objects within the sensor’s wide field of view.

With point-and-click functionality, the sensor shows data on an LCD screen while recording it onto a standard SD card.
