Hyprez Pitch Polishing Diamond Slurry

Engis UK Ltd. has launched its newly engineered nonagglomerating diamond slurry, designed for pitch polishing applications, including lapping and polishing of precision optical materials and components such as proof flats, etalons, prisms, windows and ring laser gyroscope blanks.

Pitch transfers minimum load to the polishing media, resulting in subnanometer surface roughness that is not obtainable through other polishing techniques.

The benefits of the Hyprez pitch polishing slurry include fast cutting and polishing rates, a wide range of diamond particle sizes and minimal waste compared with conventional processes. It will not chemically degrade the pitch and is easy to clean.

Viscosity is 0.9 to 1.2 cycles per second, and density is 0.99 to 1.1 g/cm3.
