IDRaman Reader
Ocean Insight
Ocean Optics Inc.’s IDRaman reader is a fully integrated Raman system with raster orbital scanning (ROS) technology, a sampling technique that enables more efficient Raman signal collection with lower background effects.
ROS enables users to exploit a larger sample interrogation area for more precise identification of delicate samples such as surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) substrates, and to use lower laser power to avoid issues associated with delicate or unstable samples such as explosives.
Available with 638-, 785- or 808-nm laser excitation, it offers two resolution options: λ/4 for the Raman spectrum from 200 to 2000 (suitable for extracting detailed spectral information near the laser line), and λ/8, for the 200 to 3200 range (for wide-range samples such as ethylene, acetylene and other aliphatic hydrocarbons).
The reader has a sampling setup for measuring surfaces below the instrument or solutions in cuvettes, and for measuring other samples from the top, sides or bottom of vials.
