The PXI-1409 multichannel monochrome image acquisition board from National Instruments combines a high-speed PCI bus with timing and triggering functions for asynchronous acquisition and integration with motion and data acquisition devices. Suitable for use in optoelectronics, telecommunications and automotive applications, the device offers user-configurable resolution with 8- or 10-bit acquisition and can be used with analog progressive-scan cameras at speeds up to 60 fps. It has four video inputs for connecting multiple cameras and hardware calibration designed to provide consistent and repeatable image acquisition. The company says that the PXI-1409 and NI-IMAQ driver software enable users to easily replace RS-170 cameras with higher-resolution analog cameras.
