A family of image processors and software tools for materials inspection applications has been launched by Olympus Life and Material Science Europa GmbH. AnalySis “start” acquires images and provides software control of camera and microscope. “Work” performs metallography tasks and offers a variety of interactive measurement functions, archiving and report generation. “Docu” provides further image acquisition and display functions, including infinite depth of focus and 3-D visualization. “Auto” offers functions for particle-oriented image analysis with multifaceted classification options. And analySis “pro” performs complex image analysis tasks and includes techniques for tracking objects and for particle analysis using line-intercept methodology.
