Epix Inc. provides Linux support for its PIXCI imaging boards. The XCLib library for Linux 2.4.8 and later kernels supports Intel platforms and enables users to customize machine vision, motion analysis and medical imaging applications. The software has the same application program interface as that for Windows, allowing users to move from one operating system to another. The XCLib library supports PIXCI analog cameras as well as area-scan and line-scan digital cameras with up to 4k x 4k resolution, up to 14 bits per pixel (gray), up to 42 bits per pixel (color) and up to 16,000 fps.
