IMMERSION PROBE A transmission probe that has an adjustable light path has been developed by Hellma GmbH & Co. KG for manual use in the laboratory. The miniature immersion device has removable spacers, which can be exchanged to adjust the light path to 2, 5 or 10 mm. By means of a clamping ring, the probe can be permanently installed for continuous process monitoring. Its parts are made of stainless steel, quartz and Kalrez, so samples do not come in contact with adhesives. The device is particularly suitable for making measurements in solvents that may erode adhesive materials.
