The ThermaCam P65 infrared camera has been launched by Flir Systems Inc. It features voice recording of up to 30 s with each image, a FireWire interface for transfer of digital video at up to 800 Mb/s, and USB and IrDA connectivity. Onboard audio-video interleaved storage enables recording of nonradiometric moving images for playback, and radiometric burst recording captures moving targets in sequences up to 20 s long at 30 Hz. The LED target illuminator automatically turns on when the visual digital camera function is selected. Thermal sensitivity is 0.08 °C, and the real-time video scan rate is 60 Hz. ThermaCam QuickView software is included.
