The IPD-10 is an integrated photodetector from Santec Europe Ltd. designed for integration into high-speed DWDM transmission systems. The device allows real-time monitoring of the optical power through each channel with <1.0-dB insertion loss. It contains up to 10 channels with simultaneous monitoring of each. Other applications for the IPD-10 include monitoring power through optical components such as optical amplifiers in DWDM systems.
