INTELLIGENT 3-D CAMERA
SICK Inc.Request Info
Sick Inc. has unveiled the IVC-3D, a smart camera that is suitable for industrial robot-controlled applications such as object inspection, location and measurement. With tools to measure height, volume, shape and other parameters, the camera also is usable for guiding robots, positioning end effectors, inspecting weld seams and glue beads, bin-picking and part orientation. It acquires up to 5000 profile sections per second to generate 3-D images and, using an incremental encoder, measures the speed and position of objects. The device’s housing holds both imaging and analysis functions, and it can directly control robots, conveyors or other machines without an external PC. It can communicate via I/O, serial and Ethernet connections and is available with measurement areas of 150 × 50 mm or 600 × 200 mm, with 0.04- and 0.2-mm resolution, respectively.
