Norland.jpgNorland Products Inc. has unveiled the Connect-Chek Version 3.1 software for its CC6000 automated interferometer, which evaluates physical contact or angled physical contact polished single-fiber connectors to provide pass/fail measurements of end-face geometry. The software provides 3-D graphics of the results, enabling immediate visual feedback on the polishing process. It automatically calculates the radius of curvature, offset of polish and fiber height based on a single image from the instrument. Other features include improved data management for report generation and the automated export of data to Excel. The software installs on various desktop and laptop computers and interfaces through a USB port. The system has applications in production, laboratory and field environments.
