Engineering Synthesis Design Inc. (ESDI) has released its IntelliWave 5.0 interferometry software for use in the optics industry. Data analysis capabilities include wavelet-based filters and a three-flat test, and interoperability is improved via ActiveX or user plug-ins. New automation/client server architecture allows bidirectional communication and data transfer among other programs. New wizards include sphere, pentaprism and homogeneity tests to facilitate factory floor quality control measurement of flats, lenses, mirrors, prisms and corner cubes. The graphics engine enables any type of user-specified output, combines text and graphical information generated in IntelliWave or in a linked program, and stores data for future use.
