Available in three standard sizes with a maximum length of 250 mm, the IP67 protective enclosures from autoVimation’s Orca series are suitable for all large cameras with a cross section of up to 62 × 62 mm. Users can select models for specific requirements, such as the version for fisheye or panamorph lenses with an image angle of up to 200°, which is equipped with a dome window.

Orca enclosures for thermal imaging cameras featuring a 2- or 3-in. infrared transparent germanium window are another recent development. Mounting brackets for large Basler camera models as well as Sick’s Ranger cameras, Sony’s FCB block cameras and surveillance cameras such as the Samsung SCZ-3430P and the Lumenera Le165 also are available.

A patented quick lock and heat guide system thermally couples the camera to the outer enclosure wall. The passive cooling effect of the wall reduces the camera temperature by up to 12 °C. The system ensures flexible and vibration-proof installation.

The standard front window can have a 2- or 3-in. diameter, and an air curtain that can be mounted to the front lid of the enclosures has a 2-in. front window for a clear view even in dusty environments. The 3-in. front window allows for the use of wide-angle lenses and large telecentric lenses.

The company’s mounting kits for laser triangulation tasks allow users to quickly and easily integrate Orca enclosures into 3-D applications.
