INO (National Optics Institute) has released the HRXCAM-2048, a high-resolution IR 2048 × 1536-pixel camera core with 8.5-μm pixel pitch for use in surveillance.
The camera uses an uncooled microbolometer detector for imaging in the longwave infrared (LWIR) range. The 1024 × 768-pixel array, combined with a lightweight microscanning catadioptric lens, provides high-resolution/high-sensitivity imaging. An open architecture enables access to detector settings and offers extensive flexibility with respect to integration.
The catadioptric optics result from a folded path, offering a wide field of view and large numerical aperture while keeping weight to a minimum. The camera provides a 16-bit raw output, especially useful for developers and integrators.
