The StingRay Optics NightCrawlIR^™ lens series from Gooch & Housego PLC are IR zoom lenses designed for aerospace, defense, and border security in the MWIR imaging space.

The self-contained lenses provide high performance for high-speed tracking, zoom stability, image quality, and resilience. Clumsy extenders and doublers are replaced by aperture-specific foreoptics compatible with commercial F4 high-definition cameras, spanning the full spectrum of focal lengths from 16.5 to 800 mm.

With its StingWare controller, NightCrawlIR’s metric zoom and focus, along with its athermal compensation, enable the lens to report back exact focal length and object distances to the user without step loss, temperature drift, focus lag, or added weight.
