Infrared and broadband optics that can be custom-made for OEM assembly as windows, lenses, mirrors and prisms are available from Meller Optics Inc. The optics can be fabricated to precise customer specifications from zinc selenide, zinc sulfide, calcium fluoride, magnesium fluoride, germanium, silicon, sapphire and spinel. They can incorporate mounting holes, slots, stepped edges, wedges, and various antireflection and reflective coatings. Suitable for use in detector, sensor and front surface applications, the optics can feature planoconvex, planoconcave and meniscus configurations with λ/4 and λ/10 surfaces and finishes to 10-5 scratch-dig. Sizes can range from 1/4- to 6-in. outer diameters, or diagonal with tolerances to ±0.005 in. and thickness to ±0.002 in., depending upon the material. The optics conform to MIL-PRF-13830.
