AHRENSBURG, Germany, Feb. 12, 2016 — Image OptimizationBasler AG offers an in-camera image optimization feature, PGI, for its ace, dart and pulse cameras series. 

The feature includes improved sharpness, denoising, color-antialiasing and 5×5 debayering. Because the computational work is handled directly within the camera, PGI is real-time compatible. It also shortens latency times.

Even with PGI activated, the camera will continue to run at full speed, without the need for expensive enhancements, such as larger internal memory or add-on processing units.
