EVT Eye Vision Technology GmbH has announced the use of its EyeVision image processing software for the inspection of glass vials in the pharmaceutical industry.
Using a mounted smart camera above a conveyor belt, vials are inspected at 30 fps. The software detects scratches and inclusions in the glass while checking if the dots and rings of the vials are in the proper position while measuring length and width.
Users can create inspection programs themselves with a drag-and-drop function offering the ability to create easy or complex programs without programing skills. The plug-in function of the software is used for vial inspection command.
