Dalsa Corp. has announced its Argus platform of CCD/time-delay-integration-based x-ray image scanners developed for use in the medical and dental fields. Argus modules include high-resolution scintillation technology and standard Ethernet connectivity, allowing images to be transported directly to the host computer for processing. Assembled with advanced microelectromechanical systems fabrication techniques in the company’s wafer foundry, the scanners also provide high resolution by joining multiple silicon detectors for fields of view up to 44 cm wide. The Argus-PAN incorporates proprietary and patented time-delay-integration technology for high sensitivity, high detective quantum efficiency and high-quality imaging at lower patient exposures. It features advanced scintillation technology for ultrahigh-resolution and low-noise applications such as mammography. The Argus-SCAN provides a 44-cm-wide field of view suitable for applications including body scanning and trauma imaging.
