SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 24, 2019 — Image SensorThe OS04A10 Nyxel image sensor from OmniVision Technologies Inc. is a 2.9- μm pixel device with a 4-MP resolution.

The sensor provides security cameras with greater zoom range and artificial intelligence-enabled surveillance systems with better object identification and facial authentication accuracy. It provides these enhancements while maintaining high performance to detect incident light in both the visible and NIR wavelengths for precise color and monochrome images.

A quantum efficiency of 60% at 850 nm and 40% at 940 nm enable the use of lower power IR illumination in total darkness.
