SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 3, 2020 — Image SensorThe OV64C image sensor for OmniVision Technologies Inc. is a 64-MP device featuring a 0.8-μm pixel size to enable high-resolution smartphone cameras in a 1/1.7-in. optical format.

Built on PureCel® Plus stacked die technology, the sensor provides still image capture and 4K video performance with electronic image stabilization for high-end smartphones. The OV64C also offers a wide range of features such as four-cell re-mosaic for full resolution Bayer output, digital crop zoom, and a CPHY interface for greater throughput using fewer pins.

In low light conditions, the sensor can use near-pixel binning to output a 16-MP image with 4× the sensitivity, offering 1.6-μm equivalent performance for previews and still captures. The sensor is ideal for main rear-facing camera in multi-camera configurations.
