Toshiba-Imaging_Olympus-IK-HD1-PR.jpgToshiba Imaging Systems Div. has partnered with Olympus Canada to offer the high-definition Synergy-HD microscope imaging system, a tool for clinical pathology and teaching. Toshiba’s ultracompact IK-HD1 three-CCD high-definition television camera has been integrated with Olympus’ line of clinical microscopes that feature objectives and optics suited for digital imaging. The system includes a high-definition wide-screen 42- or 47-in. 1080-pixel LCD monitor and delivers video imagery in real time, displaying the entire slide at all regions of interest and magnifications. It has a high refresh rate of 8 ms with a broadcast-quality HD-SDI video format at a data rate of 1.4 Gb/s.
