Bruker Daltonics has added its ClassImaging algorithm to its Maldi Molecular Imager systems. It is suitable for biomarker detection, tissue classification, pathology research, and imaging the distributions of drugs and metabolites for drug development. The system consists of time-of-flight/time-of-flight mass spectrometers that use 200-Hz lasers. The algorithm provides unique selectivity and image contrast to assist in the classification of cancer biopsies and other tissue samples.
