The Spotlight 400 FT-IR and 400N FT-NIR imaging systems from PerkinElmer Inc. are designed to increase throughput and improve data quality of samples in laboratories that specialize in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, materials, forensics and the medical field, for the study of diseases in their initial stages. The systems employ linear array detector technology to address larger sample sizes and to broaden the captured IR spectral range. Their numerous spatial resolution options and fast data collection modes result in reduced measurement time, particularly for applications that require lower detection levels. Designed to collect multiple chemical pictures in a single operation, the systems include a tablet auto-sampler and an environmental enclosure. They can operate unattended and in combination with an attenuated total reflectance accessory.
