Hamamatsu InGaAs Area Image SensorThe G16564-0808T from Hamamatsu Photonics is a near-infrared area image sensor made from indium (In), gallium (Ga), and arsenic (As). It allows the user to select the signal read-out wavelength, making it applicable for imaging and measuring objects with different material compositions and sizes such as plastic recycling and quality control in drugs and foods. The sensor features a decoder circuit which leads to faster readout speeds, a dynamic range of 3000 due to the addition of a depression type signal processing circuit, a spectral response range of 1.7 to 2.55 µm, a pixel pitch of 20 µm, and a frame rate of 503 fps.
