EWING, N.J., July 5, 2024 — Discovery Semiconductors InGaAs Photodiodes and ReceiversDiscovery Semiconductors’ extended InGaAs photodiodes and photoreceptors can be used in space applications, including spectroscopy, optical communication links, and rapid doppler shift lidar. The devices come in single photodiode, balanced photodiode, and amplified optical receiver configurations in packages such as fiber coupled butterfly modules with a K or SMA connector, fiber coupled surface mount technology modules with no co-ax connectors, and free space TO-5 packages with broad anti-reflection coatings. The extended InGaAs photodiodes and photoreceptors operate over a temperature range from extreme cryogenic up to +125 °C and features a bandwidth of up to +10 GHz, an optical dynamic range up to 50 mW, and a wavelength coverage from 800 - 2400 nm.
