InGaAs SWIR Cameras
Sensors UnlimitedRequest Info
Sensors Unlimited Inc., part of Goodrich ISR Systems, has introduced
two cameras with enhancements that expand the dynamic range of short-wavelength
infrared (SWIR) imagery. The InGaAs SWIR SU320KTX has a 320 x 240-pixel format with
a 40-μm pixel pitch, and the SU640KTSX has a 640 x 512-pixel format with a
25-μm pixel pitch. Both automatically compensate for variations in light levels
that may differ by up to five orders of magnitude. This increase in dynamic range
makes them suitable for imaging and surveillance in military, medical and commercial
applications. They also detect reflected light at wavelengths that the human eye
cannot see, providing real-time daylight-to-low-light imaging and making them suitable
for use in laser detection, emission microscopy, imaging spectroscopy, astronomy,
and imaging through fog, dust and smoke. They operate in the 0.9- to 1.7-μm
range.
