B&W Tek Inc. has announced the Sol 2.6, a fiber-coupled near-IR InGaAs spectrometer with a built-in AutoZero function for low noise. The linear InGaAs array instrument offers 256 pixels, high throughput and dynamic range, with thermoelectric cooling down to —15 °C and a standard spectral range from 1550 to 2550 nm. It is designed with four levels of gain, producing good results for most applications in low-light-level near-IR detection. It is equipped with a built-in three-stage cooler, with no external control box, allowing for easy integration and providing 5-VDC power. Because it has a low percentage of dead pixels, it is suitable for process monitoring, quality control and biological applications.
