CarestreamHealth.jpgCarestream Molecular Imaging Systems, formerly Kodak Molecular Imaging Systems, has launched the Kodak in vivo imaging system FX for multiwave fluorescence, luminescence, radioisotopic and x-ray imaging applications. The instrument offers an automated lens that records precise f-stop, zoom and focal plane parameters, selectable wavelength excitation and emission filter systems, and the ability to switch from optical, radioisotopic or x-ray imaging modes remotely, without disturbing the samples or opening the imaging chamber. With 4 million pixel resolution and 10x optical zoom, it delivers up to 10-μm-per-pixel resolution. The system is equipped with optical and x-ray filter controls, and it can recall and replicate image settings from both in vivo and in vitro molecular imaging applications. It images a variety of samples, including small animals, gels, plates and tissue.
