EINDHOVEN, Netherlands, Jan. 2, 2018 — Industrial CameraThe Q-12A180/CXP next generation QUARTZ 12 Megapixel Quad CoaXPress camera from Adimec Advanced Image Systems BV is a 12-MP CMOS global shutter camera that delivers images of 4096 × 3072 pixels at 187 fps. The camera utilizes the AMS CMOSIS CMV12000 global shutter image sensor.

The series has been upgraded to measure structures or defects with a better accuracy to meet the increased demands of in-line optical metrology system, such as in electronics manufacturing. It features the addition of corrections for artifacts from the image acquisition setup process. Low-frequency flat field correction compensates for optics and lighting shading nonuniformities in an image scene, ensuring uniformity regardless of exposure and resulting in an equal response of all pixels for accurate measurements over the entire field of view.

In many applications, multiple lighting conditions or various optics are used which are controlled in sequential order, resulting in multiple shading artifacts. Therefore, the correction functionality supports multiple flat field sets for selection in between frames. All flat field corrections in Adimec’s cameras are done in real time, minimizing latency in the system.
