SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 25, 2014 — JAI SP-5000M-CXP2The two newest models in JAI’s line of 5-MP industrial cameras operate at a maximum full frame rate of 211 fps, delivering more than a billion pixels per second for 8-bit monochrome or raw Bayer configurations.

The monochrome and color SP-5000M-CXP2 use a new 2560 × 2048 CMOS imager. On-chip four-channel analog gain control individually adjusts R, G, and B information for better white balancing with reduced noise. In-camera pattern correction algorithms provide lower noise and better low-light performance than is typically found in CMOS cameras.

The cameras are equipped with an auxiliary lens control circuit that supports P-iris control, as well as programmable three-axis control of motorized zoom lenses or other analog accessories. They accept standard C-mount lenses.

Applications include high-speed production line inspection, process monitoring and event capture.
