OBERSULM, Germany, Dec. 12, 2014 — IDS CP industrial cameraIDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH has announced new versions of its USB 3.0 CP industrial camera with an 18-MP/4K Aptina sensor or the 2.3-MP IMX174 Sony sensor, providing integrated image memory.

The Sony IMX174 CMOS sensor combines light sensitivity, dynamic range and color reproduction with frame rates up to 180 fps. Available in monochrome or color versions, the sensor provides a resolution of 1936 × 1216 pixels.

The 18-MP Aptina sensor is currently the highest resolution USB 3.0 industrial camera available. At full 4K resolution, it allows frame rates up to 20 fps and 90 fps at full HD. The sensor delivers extremely detailed images, making it suited for microscopy and industrial applications.
