BURNABY, British Columbia, Canada, Jan. 14, 2016 — CMOS cameras from Mightex Systems now work with USB3 extension cables from Icron Technologies Corp.

Icron's 15-m Spectra 3001-15 active copper extension cables and 100-m Spectra 3022 fiber-based extender systems have been validated with the cameras. Both extenders support throughputs of 5 Gb/s and feature locking connectors per the AIA USB3 Vision specification.

Mightex's ultrafast USB3 cameras are designed for applications that require high speed or multiple cameras. They offer a transfer rate up to 400 MB/s and incorporate an Aptina 5-MP CMOS image sensor capable of delivering up to 14 fps in full resolution and up to 350 fps using region-of-interest mode.

The cameras are suited for industrial applications requiring large amounts of data to be processed and transferred from the camera to the computer.
