SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 21, 2015 — Industrial Diode LasersCoherent Inc. has announced 780- to 830-nm and 975-nm diode laser components for industrial applications.

At 780 to 830 nm, the company's AAA technology has been extended to include 60- and 80-W low-fill-factor bars, as well as a new 70-W, 800-μm core fiber array package, all qualified to >20,000 lifetime hours.

At 975 nm, high-efficiency 60-, 100- and 150-W low-fill-factor bars are offered, also qualified to >20,000 lifetime hours. At both wavelengths, the bars are ideal for fiber coupling and optical beam combining, enabling high-brightness beam delivery for applications such as the pumping of solid-state and fiber lasers, as well as direct-diode materials processing including metal welding, cladding and heat treating.
