With an articulated distal tip, the Series C industrial videoscope from Olympus Europa SE & Co. KG is able to inspect workpieces with limited direct visual access.
The videoscope captures images with the desired brightness by combining eight brightness settings, glare reduction, high-intensity LED and light-sensitive CCD camera chip technologies.
Articulation is made possible by a thumb-driven joystick that controls 360° articulation of the distal tip and up to 120° angulation. The insertion tube is made of a tungsten braid that is resistant to abrasion and waterproof. A replaceable cap added to the tip protects the LED light source and the video camera for use in harsh environments.
