Inspection Station
LASELEC Inc.Request Info
The MT 200 compact inspection station offered by Laselec uses
a Class 1 UV laser to mark cable samples, then produces an analysis report. Manufacturers
can test, control and optimize the UV laser markability of their wires and cables
during production. The system includes proprietary real-time Comet image capture
software to measure the contrast of UV laser-generated marks on electrical wiring
and fiber optic cables. The laser is a 355-nm frequency-tripled Nd:YAG solid-state
model with a pulse duration of 7 to 9 ns. The marking zone is covered by a front
panel and window to allow visualization of the laser shots and to protect against
laser radiation. Marking can be performed through single shot or programmable laser
shots at defined intervals. The system includes a numerical camera with zoom, autocalibration
and real-time energy level control.
