PHILADELPHIA, July 20, 2010 — Clear Align has announced the Inspire line of high-performance, ultralightweight, pre-engineered lenses for short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) detection.
Designed for high-resolution operation at low light levels for portable and unmanned aerial vehicle applications, the lenses’ housing design uses proprietary coatings and allows for athermalized performance in a military-ready robust package.
The lenses’ f numbers range from 1.0 to 4.5. The modulation transfer function of >50% at 20 line pairs per millimeter provides high-resolution imaging for night vision, search and rescue, infrared tracking and other applications across the 0.6- to 1.7-µm imaging band. The rugged mechanical design allows the lenses to withstand hostile environments and is athermalized from -20 to 60 °C.
Focal lengths range from 20 to 200 mm, and full fields of view span 48° to 1°. Wavebands covered are from 600 to 1600 nm and from 900 to 1700 nm. Relative illumination range is 75% to 95%. All surfaces are antireflection-coated.
Detector size is from 10.25- to 20.5-mm diagonal, and pixel size is from 12.25 to 25 µm.
